I stayed at the hotel recently, and while there were some highlights like the delicious breakfast and friendly service, my experience was overshadowed by the disappointment of the spa being closed unexpectedly. Additionally, the room had issues with its cleanliness and atmosphere, making it less enjoyable overall. The location is great for exploring, but the small parking area created a bit of chaos.

Unfortunately, my experience with the room was not great. It had a damp smell, and the carpet had noticeable stains. Additionally, the temperature was an issue as I couldn't open the window for fresh air.
Service

The service was quite variable. While some staff members were friendly and willing, there were moments where communication fell short, especially regarding the spa facilities.

I was particularly let down by the spa facilities not being available during my stay, which was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel.

Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at The Bell in Driffield. The quirky decor and rich history give it a unique charm, while the food offerings were excellent, especially the carvery. However, my room had a musty smell, which detracted from the overall comfort of my stay. The location is convenient for exploring the local area, but accessibility could be a concern for those with mobility issues.

My room initially felt spacious but unfortunately had a musty smell and was in need of some updates. The uneven floors added to the discomfort.

I had a lovely stay at this charming hotel that feels much like stepping back in time. The character of the place truly sets it apart, with clean and spacious rooms and delicious food, especially the breakfast! The spa facilities are a great perk, although the dining options could be a bit more varied in the evening. Overall, a delightful experience with good value for money.

Staying at this hotel was an interesting experience filled with charm and character. The food was truly delightful, especially the breakfast and carvery, making it a highlight of my stay. However, the plumbing and room decor could use some updating. Overall, it's a unique spot with a great atmosphere but comes with a few quirks that could be improved.

My recent stay at the hotel was quite mixed. While I encountered some charming features and helpful staff, there were significant issues with cleanliness and overall comfort. It would be fantastic for those looking for a unique historical atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're sensitive to smells or need comfort when it comes to room size.

Rooms
5.0
The room was very small and had an unpleasant smell, which made it hard to relax during my stay. We were moved to a disabled room in another annex, which was much better but still had issues.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally polite and accommodating, though the service experience varied, especially regarding breakfast timing.
Location

The location was convenient for exploring the surrounding area, which was a plus, but parking was a bit of a hassle.
Dining

Breakfast was decent, especially on our last morning, but overall it had its ups and downs in terms of quality.
Facilities

The facilities were a nice touch, and the potential for relaxation was there, especially if the spa services were utilized more.
